The city of Ettringen is located some 90 kilometers from Munich, Germany. The mill was founded in 1897 and employs 250 people. In 2011 UPM took over the mill Ettringen from Myllykoski, especially for the production of online calendered, highly DIP containing SC-paper grades that are used for magazines and for advertising supplements. Highest gloss and smoothness values can be created by producing SC-papers with the online Janus calender on the PM 5. The mill has a yearly production of around 300.000 tons.
